The Flow of Mind 25, Paper Casting, Hanji Dyed with Madder, 68.3×49×0.5cm, 2015
The Flow of Mind 25 is a work created by casting Hanji dyed with madder, featuring a naturally raised, relief-like texture formed through repeated pressing and curling. Its surface bears text-shaped forms composed of Hangul, English, and Chinese characters, excerpted from the titles of the artist’s works spanning from the early period to the present.
The traces left during the making process reveal the historical layers of Hanji and accumulated sensory impressions, expressing both the material’s inherent qualities and a space of deep inner reflection.
